Lochgilphead
In Lochgilphead just past the Argyll & Bute Hospital this is your closest Golf Course. Mainly on the flat apart from the par three 3rd hole which is quite a climb tee
to green. Water comes in to play at 5 holes and over all you cannot stray too far off line without being penalised. Overall a scenic 9 hole course with club house serving
teas, coffees and snacks at certain times throughout the day.

Dalmally Golf Course |

This is one of the most picturesque courses in Argyll and although the distance from Lochgilphead is approximately 35 miles this course is well worth a visit. The course
itself is surrounded by snow topped mountains and has a river meandering through the course which comes into play on a few holes. This course is all on the level and is a
pleasure to play. Take your camera to capture the beautiful scenery. |

Dunaverty Golf Course |

Although this is quite a distance away Dunaverty at Southend is again a very picturesque course. An 18 hole on the southern most tip of Kintyre this course is both
challenging and a pleasure to play. With views of Nothern Ireland and sandy beaches skirting some of the holes this is a great day out. One or two hills to be climbed but
on the main quite level. |

Glencrutten
Oban (40 miles)
This course is at Glencrutten near Mossfield in Oban, An 18 hole course with many par 3s and a par 5. If you like a hilly course and you are fit then this is the
course for you. A few blind holes but well marked and in excellent condition.
Inverarary
On the A83 (25 miles)
A nice 9 hole course with a few par 3s and a magnificent par 5 surrounded by bunkers. This is a reasonably new course and has been developed well over the past few
years. Mainly on the level with only slight inclines.
Tarbert
Just off the A83 (14 miles)
Tarbert is a short yet stunning moorland nine hole, with well-maintained undulating fairways and even better greens. Tarbert is particularly picturesque in parts with a number of holes serving up views of the local countryside, including West Loch Tarbert.
Tarbert is hilly in parts and you must be reasonably straight off the tee to keep your score low. |
